GREENBANK FARM MARKET: Celebrate the season at Greenbank Farm during the first three weekends in December (Dec 6–7, 13–14, and 20–21). Explore a variety of handcrafted goods from talented local artisans in the barn, transformed into a lively, festive event space. While you’re there, be sure to visit the other on-site shops or grab a bite to eat for a full holiday experience. Greenbank Farm will be a winter wonderland this holiday season, featuring Santa Claus, holiday lights, and festive markets. Santa arrives by fire truck at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 6, and will be at the Farm each weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Don’t miss the Tractor Lighting on Sat, Dec 6 at 4:00 p.m., as the Farm grounds sparkle with seasonal lights. Enjoy warm drinks, festive foods, and the cheerful holiday atmosphere throughout the month!

What to Expect: The beloved Tchaikovsky ballet comes to life with dazzling costumes, festive party scenes, a magical snow scene, and the classic Land of Sweets.

This December, the Bayview Farmers Market turns into a warm, festive gathering at Bayview Hall in Langley. On December 13 and 20 (10:00 AM–3:00 PM), you can shop for locally raised lamb and beef, artisan cheeses, breads and pastries, wines, ciders, and a wide variety of handcrafted gifts. To keep things cozy and delicious, there will be food vendors like Stoneham Pizza’s wood-fired trailer, a hot dog cart by Gary & Deb, and rotating soups from Lesidi Farm. Enjoy live entertainment while you browse, it’s a perfect way to support local farmers, artisans, and makers during the holiday season​

Ingredients:

1 large panettone (about 1 lb), cubed

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

¾ cup granulated sugar (or adjust to taste)

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp nutmeg
-
½ cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips (optional)

Butter or nonstick spray for baking dish
Optional Toppings / Finishing Touches:

Powdered sugar dusting

Instructions:

Prep the Bread:

Cut the panettone into 1-inch cubes and place them in a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish. If you like chocolate, sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the bread.

Make the Custard:

In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.

Soak the Bread:
-
Pour the custard evenly over the panettone cubes, pressing lightly to make sure the bread absorbs the mixture.

Let it sit for 15–20 minutes for the custard to soak in thoroughly.

Bake:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serve:

Let the bread pudding cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with sauce if desired, and serve warm.
